How to
become an initial member at Shellharbour
SLSC
PLEASE READ THIS GUIDE AND
CONSTANTLY REFER TO IT AS YOU COMPLETE THE
REGISTRATION PROCESS.FOLLOW
IT EXACTLY!
If you have
never been a member of any surf club start at
Step 1 below.
If you have
been a member of another surf club (even if it
was years ago) the first thing you must do before
attempting online registration is send me an
email so that I can do an online club transfer. If
this is not done you will not be able to
register online, or you will create 2
accounts causing major problems to rectify.
Wait for a reply confirming that a transfer has
been initiated. This transfer may take a few
days or a week to be processed by your former
club, and finally approved by Branch.DO NOT
attempt online registration. Click on the
following link giving me the exact name, date of
birth, and former Surf Club and wait for a
reply. I will remain in contact and keep you
informed of your transfer statusmichaelflood@exemail.com.au
1.Log onto the link below but keep
reading this guide and follow it EXACTLY:LifeSaving_Online
a)Look at the top of the page and
click on ‘Create
Account’
e)Enter your name and date of birth
accurately. Select whether you want to be
verified by email or mobile. If you select email they
will send you a link that you click on that will
allow you to enter the site with your username
and password. If you select mobile you
will be sent a confirmation code that needs to
be entered into the website with your username
and password. For your username I suggest you
use your first and last name without any gap,
all in lower case, i.e.johnbrown.
For your password you can use the same one for
every family member. Your password must be 6-12
characters in length, and must contain at least
one letter and at least one number.
f)Enter
the mobile code or
click on the email link that was sent to you.
g)Now that you have logged on just
read and follow the instructions. The difficult
part is over.
h)Please take your time to enter all
your details correctly, otherwise we will have
to contact you when we attempt to accept your
‘pending’ request. You will not have to do this
again unless you change any details like email
address or mobile phone. Please
enter an email address and mobile phone number
to allow the club to contact you. Verification
of any Carnival entries and information will
be sent to the competitor’s email, not the
parent or guardian. If you enter the same
mobile number or email address for several
family members the system recognises this when
sending out messages and you will only receive
it once.
i)The
shirt and short size drop down box is for
patrolling members. This is required so that
correct numbers and sizing of uniforms are
allotted by State SLSC when we get new uniforms.
For children under the age of 18 there are 2
boxes at the bottom of the page for a
parent/guardian to enter their first and last
name. There are also 2 boxes to tick to
acknowledge you have read and agree to this
application and declaration.
j)When you have checked all your
details click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the
page. The
page will now say:
Pending
Requests
Your request has
been recorded in the system and is pending
approval.
If
the page does not say this scroll back up and
see what you have
missed. Check that you have ticked the boxes at
the bottom. You must persevere until you see
this page otherwise you have not registered.
Repeat this process for each
family member. As suggested above it may be
easier to use the same ONE password for all of
your family members. Write these details down
somewhere as you will need these whenever you
want to log on to update your details or renew
your membership next season.
If
you have followed this guide exactly and have
still had a problem call the HELPDESK on 1300
724 006 between 8am and 5pm Mon-Fri and
explain to them the issue you are having. If
it is an answering machine ring back until you
speak to a person to help.
Your request
for registration will stay ‘pending’ until you
address the following:
1.You
have paid your membership fees at the Surf Club
