Registration Introduction



INTRODUCTION Welcome to the 2019/2020 Season.

Online registrations are open annually from 1 September.

The first day of Nippers for the 2019/20 season is 20th October. If you wish for your child to start on the first day of Nippers, registration must be submitted prior to Thursday night, 17 October 2019.

After the first Nippers day, registrations will re-open until Christmas. For participation on Sunday Nippers during this period, registrations must be submitted by the Thursday night prior to the Sunday. Registrations received after this cut-off may not be processed in time. Unless you receive a confirmation email from the Registrars that your registration has been processed and confirming your child's start date, please do not arrive on Sunday expecting your child to participate, as their name will not be on an Age Manager list (as they are not covered by insurance and neither is the Club).

GENERAL INFORMATION All aspects of registration is completed online, including payment and sending proof of ID.(When making payment, please ignore any message to wait for club approval and proceed to MAKE PAYMENT. All memberships are accepted upon receipt of ALL requirements, including payment).

Children must attain the age of 5 years by 30 September before they can join as a Nipper member. However, if a child commences after they just turn 5 years, SLSA requires that they must remain in the U6s age group for the following season.

It is a requirement of Shellharbour SLSC for at least one parent per family to join and accompany their child during Nipper sessions. If you are not already an Active Member then you will be required to join as a General Member ($55), ensuring you are covered by insurance. We offer attractive rates for family membership and encourage families to become part of our great Club.

Members from U/8-U/14 age groups will need to provide a completed swim form on their first day of Nippers. Your child is unable to participate in any water activities without providing a swim form.

Membership fees:
U/6 & U/7 - $40
U/8 to U/14 - $70
Family - $220
Cadets/General memberships - $55

Additional fees:
Competition Levy for competition outside of Branch - $30
Racing Mal Board and Surf Ski Rack Hire - $30 per rack

1st October 2006 to 30th September 2007 - U/13
1st October 2007 to 30th September 2008 - U/12
1st October 2008 to 30th September 2009 - U/11
1st October 2009 to 30th September 2010 - U/10
1st October 2010 to 30th September 2011 - U/9
1st October 2011 to 30th September 2012 - U/8
1st October 2012 to 30th September 2013 - U/7
1st October 2013 to 30th September 2014 - U/6


BEACH PUPS We also run a program specifically for children aged between 0-5 called Beach Pups.

REQUIREMENTS No Rashie = No Training
It is mandatory for U/8-U/14s to wear a high visibility rash singlet when taking part in water activities at Sunday Nippers and at water training during the week (for swim/iron/board/wade). These singlets are available for purchase in our soft gear shop ($20).

Age Group Caps
Every Nipper member must wear a coloured age cap during all Nipper activities ($15).

Competition Caps
We also have Club competition caps for external carnivals ($20).


PURCHASE OF SOFT GEAR We have a variety of swimwear and other items available for purchase in the Soft Gear Shop.

The Soft Gear Shop is located upstairs in our Clubhouse and is open every Sunday between 8.30m to 8.45am (during Nipper season).
