FACILITIES The Facilities at Shellharbour North Beach include:
DISABLED PARKING The Main Shellharbour North Beach car park is situtated on the North side of the Club House. There are several reserved disabled parking spaces in the car park north of the surf clubfunction centre building, close to both the beach and club house. Wide paved access is provided directly from the car park to the beach. BEACH & SHORE ACCESS Special purpose Beach Matting is provided running from the paved car park access over the sand dune and to the high tide mark. Please Note Shellharbour Council remove the soft matting portion outside of Council Patrolling months (May - Sep). SSLSC BEACH CHAIR Shellharbour Surf Life Saving Club operate their own beach Chair. The chair use must always be supervised by a member of the club under close supervision. This is to ensure the safety of all the people involved. The chair is available by contacting a Patrolling Club Member (Yellow and Red shirt) during the volunteer patrol season, or by emailing the club at info@shellharboursurfclub.com COUNCIL BEACH CHAIR The council operated beach chair is located on the north side of the club house adjacent to the car park. The chair is available when council lifeguards are on patrol and, while bookings are not required, a combination code is needed for access. To obtain the access code please see one of the Council on-duty lifeguards (Blue Shirts) or contact council customer service on 02 4221 6111. Please Note Shellharbour Council remove their chair from the site outside of Council Patrolling months (May - Sep). |
